I did confirm with Jason, that this is a 1099 position, there are no benefits.
We pay a percentage of the fee billed to each carrier.
We don't have set "hours" it would be dependent on how many files are in for review etc.
We pay once a month at the end of the month and pay the reviewer for those files closed during that month.
When I file comes in an email would be sent to both the reviewer and adjuster a new assignment has been sent.
Once a file is ready for review ---
The process would be for the reviewer to be alerted by the adjuster that the file documents are in filetrac for review.
It's proofed, spell checked and formatted as is appropriate. Verify nothing is missing. Then it would be bundled with any attachments and sent to that carrier.
If its a final report, we also need the timesheet reviewed / cleaned up then an alert through "Filetrac" would be sent to me. I would produce an invoice and add to that file, alert the reviewing they are set to bundle the invoice in
Then it would be sent into the carrier by the reviewer. File closed in filetrac.
Yes definitely could be 2nd job. We also have had other file reviewers doing review for other IA firms too. We like to turn reports around with 24 hours of when the adjusters submit for review.
Average report review is about an 1/2 hour. Most files are closed within 1 - 3 reports. We try for one, but often there are things outstanding to address.
There's no average submittal some days none other days I've had 4-5
